In the process of creating these Skulls, I have been scouring the internet for reference images and whenever possible: catching on the movies that sparked the inspiration for a particular Skully.
Today I watched Cheech and Chong's Up In Smoke. whew! I remember the first time I watched it, many many years ago and in a different state of mind, but you cannot deny the brilliant comedy and Stoner Lifestyle of the movie. Dang! Which gives me another idea for a completely different collection: Non Fungible Tokers. I am sure someone has tought of it and it's only a matter of time before the collection is public somewhere. I won't hate on it if and when it is public as long as its stlyish. Anyways, back to the movies that we all love, the characters and storylines that at one time amazed us and now we go back for more because nostalgia's sake. Other movies I have watched recently because of the Skullys: The Godfather (Brando), Apocalypse Now (Brando Again!), American Me (Olmos) and Blood In/Blood Out (Paco- Benjamin Pratt). It is great to spend time rewatching these movie classics and drawing the Skully version of my favorite characters. These movies inspire time after time. -DTM
